teenage exposure

This week we were asked to expose ourselves to something that is teenage. I watched several different teen pregnancy shows. Watching and listening to pregnant teenagers is mortifying as well as annoying. These you women are either being scripted by the shows producers to act immature, or, these girls are very immature. Overall, this exposure helped me understand that many young mothers are also playing several other important roles, including student, daughter, teenager, etc. Furthermore, watching these programs on MTV helped me understand what types of problems my students may be encountering outside of the classroom.
